A great bring you back to the familiar flavor of cinnamon apple pie, but with DATES and a nice portion of cinnamon; this jam is yummy, great on grain free bagels, crackers, and waffles or as a topping on your favorite coconut ice cream.
Makes 300 grams jam
150 grams Pitted Dates, coarsely chopped
8½ oz. Water
1 tsp Almond Extract
¼ tsp Cinnamon
Grated Peel and Juice of 1 Lemon
Using a large size saucepan add coarsely chop dates, almond extract, water, cinnamon, grated lemon peel and juice of one lemon. When it starts to boil turn down to simmer for 20 minutes.
